so far jungleman and i have played somewhere around 7,000 hands and im down right about 700k. I cant seem to find the ftp page with exact results, so i’ll ask someone to make that a little easier (or explain to me why im dumb). Anyway obviously the challenge hasn’t gone too well so far, but luckily theres still 43k hands left and i’m hoping they will go a little bit better than the first 7k. We’re obviously playing this challenge a lot faster than patrik and i played the last one, so hopefully we’ll be done with it in a reasonable timeframe. Dan’s going to london too and said he might be busy there- which i also will be some, so there might be a slight lull for 3 or so weeks- but hopefully we’ll still play a few thousand hands in that time. I’d really like to finish this by the end of october or so (and hopefully be up at least 700k by then). Have to run now- but i’ll try to get a more detailed blog up sometime soon.

    Even after watching the nose bleeds on FTP for the last few years the numbers thrown around still sort of shock me. At my current rate it would take me about 12 years to make $700k Good luck on the match Tom.

    sorry tom but I want to be honest with you and i see you play a lot high stake online and i never see you winning anything .and sometimes your moves are very donkeys moves ..so you must be a rich boy but bro you are not a pro for me . but good luck in this challenge you need luck ;=)

    Tom.Your opponent must have a very good read on you, and some good moves, in order for you to be losing.

    Just think more like a man who’s 30 or 40, and how they see poker, and when the good hands come, play them well and watch for traps.

    Be thankful you’re not playing Gus Hansen, who really should challenge you.

    Poker is a lot like chess, so look at poker like how a Grandmaster looks at chess.

    Can’t really comment on the challenge as its early days yet… plus I’m not even going to try to sound like I know anything.

    Good luck Tom. I know you have alot of supporters who believe in you. 7k hands is nothing. There is a long, long way to go and you shouldn’t have trouble with this kid. For once you can be the one with more poker experience teaching the young kid a lesson. Best of luck. Hope it goes well.

    I’m so keen for the next round. I hope this doesn’t drag out as much as the last one. I say the next challenge should be a face off where both players sit down and play non stop until somebody quits… first one to quit has to pay out like 500k. That way you don’t quit until you start playing badly enough that 500k looks like a bargain. Who’s keen?

    it’s great to watch you play live poker. in the moment. the adrenaline rush. all of the things you do at the table so that when a big action pot gets stirred, you’re right there in the middle of it. i hope we get to play at the same table one day.
